American Airlines and The University of Texas at Arlington presented The Pacific Alliance: An Imperative Collaboration for Economic Development.
In keeping with the mission of strengthening ties between Texas, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region, the summit highlighted the Pacific Alliance, a mechanism for the economic and commercial integration of Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru.
Development of Human Capital, DFW International Airport: Where the Americas meet Asia, and Public and Private Sector Collaborative Vision, were some of the topics that panelists from different entities presented followed by Q & A’s.
The Keynote speaker at the American Airlines Third Annual NEXOS Ambassador’s Luncheon was Scott Kirby, President of American Airlines. Brief remarks were delivered by Mayor of the City of Dallas Mike Rawlings, Mayor of the City Fort Worth Betsy Price, City of Arlington Councilman Robert Rivera and the President of the University of Texas at Arlington Dr. Vistasp Karbhari.
For the closing session; The Pacific Alliance, panelists discussed the economic and commercial cooperation between the countries for inclusive and sustainable development. Panelists for this session were special guests: Eduardo Medina-Mora Icaza, Ambassador of Mexico to the United States, Luis Carlos Villegas, Ambassador of Colombia to the United States, Juan Gabriel Valdés, Ambassador of Chile to the United States and Harold Forsyth, Ambassador of Peru to the United States.
