Dallas has been known to give some of the greatest Holiday displays. This year is no exception. With Dallas being the city where “BIG” things happen, here are some Holiday events for you to enjoy and discover why we’ve been given such a title.
–TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY– Nov 22- Jan 5– DFWs biggest light show!! Gift of Lights at Texas Motor Speedway will be decorated for the occasion and will feature a 1.7 mile drive-thru packed with nearly 2 million lights. This is one ride you cant miss!
-GALLERIA DALLAS– Nov 19- Dec 24– Head over to the Galleria Dallas to see the largest indoor tree in the country! While you’re there, ice skate around it! The ice skating rink will come to life with figure skaters and Missile Toes, the pyro-technic, back flipping Santa.
-NORTHPARK CENTER– Nov 23- Jan 5– Northpark Center Mall will feature its annual Trains of Northpark. It is said to be the most elaborate toy train exhibit in Texas, with over 1,600 feet of tracks and detailed cityscapes. This year, Northpark will also features Santa, a Texas SPCA adoption center and custom dog houses, visits and storytime with Santa, performances and more.
-HILTON ANATOLE– Nov 29- Jan 10 –Another must see in the fabulous city of Dallas is Sparkle! Christmas at the Anatole that takes place at the Hilton Anatole. This event features an outdoor skating rink, live music and choir, delicious baked goods, and the children’s play area.
-METROPCS DALLAS MARATHON– Dec 8-For those that like to get out and stay active through the Holidays, there is an event for you! The annual race takes place on December 8th. You may either run the full marathon, half-marathon or for beginners, the 5-man relay race. The yearly Dallas Marathon contributes to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.
-CHILDREN’S HOLIDAY PARADE– Dec 7– If you thought magic wasn’t real, then you must attend this event. The 26th annual Holiday Parade presented by Pizza Hut is one of the must-see, must-go traditions for Dallasites. Watch live marching bands, parade floats, larger-than-life balloons and more!
-HOLIDAY IN THE PARK- SIX FLAGS– Nov 23- Dec 31– This is for the thrill-seekers! Holiday also comes for those adrenaline junkies! Six Flags Style! Enjoy the rides while you also get to enjoy the festive lights and the seasonal treats. See Santa’s Workshop and the FA-LA-LA-LA-LA Light show!
-NEW YEARS EVE– Dec 31- Dallas’s biggest New Years party, Big D NYE, will happen at Victory Park. Surrounded by HD screens, you will take part in live performances, special celebrity guests, and one of the largest fireworks displays in the nation. Join the thousands of people on the last day of 2013 and ring in 2014 loving what we all love, Dallas.
