Dr. Elba Garcia, Dallas County commissioner for District 4, will host the Dallas County District 4 Women’s Expo on March 24, 2026. Commissioner Garcia is taking action to support women’s health and well-being by hosting a dynamic community expo designed to inform, inspire, and connect residents with essential resources. Back for its second year, this free community event — dedicated to the health, self-care and personal growth of women and their families — will take place at Dallas College Irving Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A Day Focused on Women’s Health and Wellness
Attendees will experience a full lineup of activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The expo creates a welcoming space where women can take charge of their health and learn practical ways to improve their quality of life.
“We know that many women are the primary family caregivers, which can make it challenging to prioritize their own health and well-being,” said Commissioner Garcia. “The Women’s Expo aims to empower women and their families to live their best lives by providing access to preventive health services, wellness activities, resources and supplies — all at little to no cost in one convenient location.”
Attendees will have access to the following and more:
Protective Services, Wellness Activities and Giveaways
- COVID-19 and RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) vaccines from the Dallas County Health and Human Services Department
- Blood pressure and diabetes screenings and mammogram registrations from Parkland Health
- Mammogram screenings from Methodist Health System
- Flu vaccines and HIV/STI screenings from VA North Texas Health Care System (veterans only)
- Diapers; baby wipes, food and formula; school supplies; and toys from Hope Supply Co.
- Blood drive with Carter BloodCare
- Yoga classes with Healthy Latina Lifestyle
Why This Expo Matters
Women often juggle multiple responsibilities, leaving little time to prioritize their own health. Commissioner Garcia’s initiative aims to change that by making healthcare resources more accessible and empowering women with knowledge.
This expo not only raises awareness but also strengthens community connections by linking residents to trusted local support systems.
The event is open to all Dallas County residents. Identification, such as a photo ID or utility bill, is required for preventive services. Advance event registration is encouraged. For more information, click here.
