LiftFund DFW Women Business Center’s May Webinars

Woman Owned Wednesday – Grab your lunch while you learn about business success strategies and the resources available to help you launch or grow your business amid these difficult times. This free monthly webinar features either a woman who’s successfully grown her own business or a representative from a Dallas/Fort Worth organization that provides resources to help female entrepreneurs succeed. Some months you’ll get two in one — our speaker can be the very woman who founded a successful resource organization that can equip you for next steps in your business.

On Wednesday, May 27, 12:00 – 1:00 pm, hear from Chanel Christoff Davis, founder and CEO of Davis Davis & Harmon, a Dallas-based, award-winning sales/use tax consulting firm that provides services on a multi-state basis. Chanel will tell you how her company is navigating the COVID-19 environment. Beyond learning how she’s accordingly adjusted business to mitigate the effects of the pandemic, you’ll gain insight on her successful experience in applying for the Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loan.  REGISTER HERE.

Overcoming Small-Business Legal Issues During COVID-19 – The Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, the LiftFund Dallas/Fort Worth Women’s Business Center and Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP are partnering o provide a virtual webinar for entrepreneurs and startup businesses.

Attendees will get an overview of how to navigate some of the most common small-business legal issues and concerns that are arising in COVID-19 times, such as employment matters, status of litigation, leasing issues, and various stimulus packages. You’ll also get the insight to schedule a free, one-on-one, 15-minute session with DVAP’s volunteering attorneys to discuss your particular legal issues or concerns at a later date.
