Teatro Flor Candela returns to the LCC for a free children’s performance

WHO: Teatro Flor Candela was founded in 2006 in Fort Worth as a non-profit artistic organization to provide a series of events to educate all populations about Hispanic and Latin American culture. Under the artistic direction of Maria Patricia Urbina-Frischmann, Teatro Flor Candela has performed at the City of Dallas’ Latino Cultural Center, Dallas Museum of Art and Mayan Theatre in New York.

WHAT: Teatro Flor Candela will present Los Payasos de la Esperanza (orClowns of Hope). The play will be in Spanish. Admission for the entire day is free and open to the public.

WHY: To bring arts learning to the Dallas community

DETAILS: Target Second Saturday is the LCC’s monthly family day with activities for people of all ages. Activities planned for the day start at 11 a.m. with hands-on arts activities for youth; a performing arts show at noon; dance and movement classes at 1 p.m.; and a showcase of local bands and musicians at 2 p.m. The LCC galleries are also open to the public throughout the day. All Target Second Saturday events are free and open to the public.
