Supplier Diversity and Innovative Small Business Conference at Mountain View College June 28

Dallas, TX- On Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Mountain View College, located at 4849 West Illinois Ave., Dallas TX 75211 in partnership with the Dallas County Community College Diversity Office will host the 2012 Supplier Diversity and Innovative Small Business Conference for the North Texas area. The conference will kick-off with a message from Coach Ken Carter, renowned basketball coach, motivational speaker and business owner.  Sandra Rowe, Assistant Director Regional Acquisitions, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will provide the luncheon keynote address.  Sandra’s career in the financial and banking industry spans over 32 years beginning with her position as head of mortgage banking operations for a small bank in Paris, Texas.  For 20 years Ms. Rowe has served in various leadership roles at the FDIC.  She was recently promoted to the position of Assistant Director in the Acquisition Services Branch, with responsibility for both national and regional procurements.

Mountain View College is proud to have supplier diversity and capital investment executives from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, North Texas Toll Authority, Capital One Bank, Rainmaker, Incorporated, South Dallas Development Corporation, Bradlink, LLC, American Airlines, ACCION Texas and many others.

Featured workshops will include:

  • 20/20: The Future of Community Investing and Small Business Lending
  • Tying the Knot: Securing the Fun
  • The Combo: Integrating Innovation to Become a Valuable Supplier.

The conference is the first annual event created to serve as a conduit for business development in the southwest region of North Texas. Innovative minority, woman, disabled and veteran owned businesses will connect with corporate supplier diversity managers at this unique event filled with information workshops, expert panelists and business community leaders.

The full day conference and lunch cost is open to the public at $10 each.
