The 2014 Dallas International Film Festival, presented by Auto nation April 3-13, 2014 has announced its full line up of films to be screened through the 11-day festival at nine different locations in Dallas. Informate DFW Magazine has been a proud sponsor for the past five years and we are excited to cover this festival once again.
For the 8th edition of the Dallas International Film Festival, also known as DIFF, more than 172 features, documentaries, shorts and student films representing 27 countries will make it to Dallas audience. Of the feature films at the Festival, 11 will be the opening world premieres and three are North American premieres- all representing some of the best in art of filmmaking. These films were selected from more than 1,300 submissions from around the world.
The main location for this year’s 2014 Festival will be at the Angelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station. For Opening Night, Thursday April 3, the Festival will kick off at the Dallas City Performance Hall with a screening of, WORDS WITHOUT PICTURES (Clive Owen, Juliette Binoche) at 7:30pm. Other venues for the festival and events include the Texas Theatre, Dallas Museum of Art, Klyde Warren Park, Perot Museum of Art, Hyatt Regency, Crow Collection of Asian Art and Cinemark West Plano.
Many fun filled events throughout the festival include a family day at Klyde Warren Park with face painting, bounce house, red carpet, music and performances and a sun down outdoor screening of the childhood classic THE NEVER ENDING STORY.
A High School Day at the Arts district for students interested in filmmaking, acting, becoming a film critic with professional hands on workshops and much more.
Sunday, April 6th will be the Latino Film Day with over 10 cinematic Spanish language Films from across Latin America (Chile, Uruguay, Mexico) and Spain. see schedule here: LATINO DAY
