Reasons to Visit Fort Worth this January

2014 started with a bang and January should be no different!! If you’re looking for something to enjoy with the entire familia, well we got a close neighbor that has the coolest options for January!

JANUARY 17- FORT WORTH STOCK SHOW & RODEO –2014 marks the 118th year of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. This event brings over 1 million visitors each year. This event brings you intense rodeo, world-class livestock, family-friendly exhibits and activities, live music, cowboy cuisine, carnival thrills, and four acres of incredible shopping.

 

JANUARY 18- ALL-WESTERN PARADE– See the amazing parade of stagecoaches, equestrian troops and more in downtown Fort Worth as 100,000-plus spectators line the streets to watch the world’s largest All-Western Parade. The parade begins at 11 a.m. on Jan 18, and patrons are encourage to reserve premium parade tickets in advance; tickets will serve as general admission for the Stock Show.

 

JANUARY 20- COWBOYS OF COLOR RODEO– Enjoy rodeo at its finest during this unique event, presented by State Farm and Univision, highlighting the rich diversity and culture of rodeo and the Western way of life. The Cowboys of Color Rodeo will be held on January 20 at 2 p.m. and features edge-of-your-seat action and special performances. Tickets are $19.

 

FEBRUARY 21- COWTOWN MARATHON– The 36th annual Cowtown Marathon will kick off Feb. 21- 23, at Will Rogers Memorial Center with 29,000-plus runners registered to participate in one of seven events, including the marathon and half-marathon. The Cowtown is one of the largest multi-event road races in the country and benefits multiple charities.
