This Broadway Show is a must-watch musical. Depicting the iconic Russian story of the dazzling Anastasia setting out to discover her past. In her journey she encounters a dashing conman and together they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love and family.

Not only does this musical have a great story, but they have an amazing staff that has made this story really come alive.

We had the opportunity to meet some of the staff and they shared with us a few fun facts about the musical. First, we met Matty Kellbaugh, Director of Costumes. He mentioned to us that Anastasia only wears one dress during Act 1, an unusual practice for musicals. Additionally, they use magnets on wardrobe in order to quickly change costumes. Oh, and the fastest costume change for Anastasia takes around 45-seconds. That’s crazy. Lastly, imagine wearing a 35-lb dress. Well Lily Coogan, who plays Anastasia, gets to do just that every show when she puts on the heaviest dress of the musical. As for other honorable mentions of the Anastasia staff, if you get the chance to go to the play and have an amazing experience with no sound issues, we can all thank Allison Ebling and her partner. They are the duo that’s in charge of all the sounds in the musical. From the fifty crew microphones, to the orchestra ensemble. These two make sure that musical runs smoothly. And finally, all of this could not be possible without the actors. We met with Tari Kelly, Countess Lily, and Edward Staudenmayer, Vlad. They shared that the whole crew was ecstatic to act in such a profound story and be able to perform across the nation.

Don’t miss out. Please let us support the arts and these artists by going out to watch the musical. If you can’t make it to the Dallas dates from February 19 – March 1, 2019. The Anastasia show will be back to the DFW area when they perform at the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, TX from May 28 – June 2, 2019.
