GDHCC celebrated its 75th Anniversary

The Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GDHCC) celebrated its 75th Anniversary with live music, Latin cuisine and special guests Vicente Fox, former President of Mexico (2000-2006) and Laura Chinchilla, former President of Costa Rica (2010-2014). As part of a World Leaders Series, they addressed a variety of topics, including globalization, Mexico’s energy reform and global technology initiatives that will create opportunities for North Texas.

The Chamber’s many milestones include being recognized this year as the largest Chamber in North Texas with more than 2,000 members.  A big contributor of this growth has been the Chamber’s dedication to creating and offering programs that support businesses at every stage, including support for start-ups through its small Business Assistance Centers, entrepreneurial training for established businesses through its Executive Entrepreneur Program, and even support for businesses in the transportation industry through its Gulf Region Small Business Transportation Resource Center.

“I am proud of The Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber’s many accomplishments and grateful to everyone who has helped make such a tremendous impact,” said Wanda Granier, current Chair of the Board for The Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “Today and tomorrow we, at the Chamber, are champions of hope for the future, and we are passionately committed to the prosperity of our community.”

“This is a great opportunity to recognize the Chamber’s rich history, as well as the efforts of so many people who have made the Chamber the success it is today,” said Rick Ortiz, President and CEO of The Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “We are very excited to celebrate with the North Texas business community what we’ve accomplished together and share our plans for the future.”
