University of Texas at Arlington Planning “Maverick Transfer Application Drive”

To make the final steps of university enrollment easy, admission counselors from the University of Texas at Arlington will be at locations across the greater Dallas area through May 24, available for prospective transfer students to submit any missing documentation needed for admission to UTA.

It’s being called the “Maverick Transfer Application Drive” and allows students to submit the documents without having to mail the items or visit the campus in person. Representatives will be available at the UTA Dallas office at Mockingbird and 35E, at UTA Fort Worth in downtown and at many Dallas area two-year colleges.

“If we receive all of the student’s required documents during our visit, we’ll make an admission decision within 48 hours,” said Mr. Patrick Jackson, assistant director of transfer admission. But he added that in many of the cases, the admission counselor will be able to make an admission decision on the spot.

New applications for the fall will be accepted, as well. Admission counselors will help walk students through the process to apply. Financial aid and scholarships for qualified students are still available as well.

Applicants can check their student account online to see what items are missing. The missing documents are most commonly college transcripts, said Mr. Jackson.
