Savor Mexico, the most exciting culinary event in Dallas, presented its culinary competition, challenging young minds to honor their region. This year, Savor Mexico celebrated the culture and diversity of the Oaxaca region.
The competition began with top senior students from various Universities in Mexico currently enrolled in a Culinary Arts Program. The student chefs were asked to research the selected region and prepare dishes indigenous to that region. A panel of judges ranging from professors, executive and celebrity chefs choose the best drink, appetizer, entrée and dessert. The winners of the competition will be soon traveling to the United States to participate in a Cultural Exchange with student chefs from various culinary institutions in the D/FW Metroplex.
