Woman Owned Wednesday

8/26/20 & 9/23/20

Grab your lunch while you learn about business success strategies and the resources available to help you launch or grow your business amid these difficult times.

This monthly webinar features either a woman who’s successfully grown her own business or a representative from a Dallas/Fort Worth organization that provides resources to help female entrepreneurs succeed. Some months you’ll get two in one — the speaker can be the very woman who founded a successful resource organization that can equip you for next steps in your business.

August 26th – Meg Sutton is owner of San Antonio-based Belle & Union. She started her company at 23 years of age, evolving her designs or “doodles” into an art-based brand consisting of card stationery and decorative accessories. Hear Meg’s experiences in obtaining relief funds from the U.S. Small Business Administration and continuing to successfully evolve her company’s offerings to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.

September 23rd – Lika Torline, founder of In The Weeds Natural Skin Care. As her company name implies, this entrepreneur was inspired to create her own brand of all-natural skin care at time when her life was “in the weeds.” In addition to her previous experiences on overcoming hardships and adversity, she’ll share how she pivoted her business from mostly in-person sales to an online success when COVID-19 struck.
