The LiftFund Dallas/Fort Worth Women’s Business Center looks to inform women on how to run a successful business.
While browsing our Instagram story (@informatedfw), I was reminded of Liftfund’s free and online business seminar. As most people tend to do, I took this free opportunity for my own benefit and was not disappointed in the slightest.
Here’s what to expect:
During the one hour session, Laguna Media Group’s, Silvia Rosero gives us insight as to how she became the owner of the company. Some of these pointers include: always having a portfolio, volunteering, knowing your client, getting certified, constantly learning, having a media presence (not just a website), and finding a mentor that suits you.
The online seminar is written in an interview format, consisting of only audio, but there is a slideshow with a few key points, which you can follow along with. There is also a chat bar on the side where you are welcome to ask questions or where you can “raise your hand” and ask it that way. The web seminar will begin with an introduction by the interviewee (Coco Salazar). In the introduction we are presented to our guest Rosero, her qualifications and a bit about how her company works. From there, Rosero answers a few questions while simultaneously giving advice. The webinar is then concluded with the audience’s questions and an invitation to take a survey over your experience.
If you happened to miss the webinar don’t worry because there is one EVERY fourth Wednesday of the month. For more information or to sign up visit:
