    Looking for free things to do in Fort Worth this spring? The Kimbell Art Museum is hosting a variety of interactive, family-friendly art programs this April and May.

    From gallery discussions and hands-on art activities to live music and lectures, there’s something for all ages to enjoy. Many events also connect to the special exhibition The Holy Sepulcher: Treasures from the Terra Sancta Museum, Jerusalem.

    Ongoing Programs

    In addition to the free programs listed below, the museum also offers a range of regular, free Public Tours exploring the museum’s permanent collection, special exhibitions, and architecture.

    Visitors can enjoy:

    • Engaging gallery talks and discussions
    • Interactive art experiences for all ages
    • Creative art-making sessions
    • Educational lectures and programs
    • Fun ways to explore a world-class exhibition

    Kimbell Kids Drop-In Studios

    A fun and creative experience for kids (12 and under) and their families.

    • 🗓️ Select Saturdays | 1:00–1:45 PM
    • April Theme: Spring Fever
    • May Theme: Delicious or Suspicious?

    Friday Happy Hours at the Kimbell Café

    Unwind with live music, drinks, and snacks in a relaxed setting.

    • 🗓️ Fridays | 5:00–7:00 PM
    • Featuring artists like Allegro Guitar Society, Maddy Montes, and Erin Kendell

    Programs for Adults

    Kimbell Casual Fridays

    A creative, social experience blending art, conversation, and collaboration.

    • 🗓️ Selected Fridays | 5:30–6:15 PM
    • No registration required

    The Artist’s Eye

    SELECTED SATURDAYS, 11 a.m.–noon

    Kahn Building, Galleries

    What does the art of the past mean to the artist of the present? In this ongoing program, moderated by Kimbell staff, artists and architects discuss works in the museum’s collection, share the special insights of the practicing professional, and relate older art to contemporary artistic concerns, including their own.

    Friday Evening Lectures

    Evening lectures by distinguished guest speakers address a range of topics relating to the appreciation and interpretation of art.

    Baroque Goldsmith’s Work: The Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory

    Ellenor Alcorn, independent curator and acclaimed specialist in the history of metalwork
