Supporters of Dallas Hispanic Firefighters Association Gear Up for Race Day

bravest2There’s only one place you should be on the morning of Saturday October 5th, Dallas most Bravest Race! The Bravest Race Dallas will be taking place that morning with a dedication to our fallen firefighters in Texas. All proceeds from the race will go to programs that provide and promote safety behavior in Dallas. This year, the goal is to obtain 1000 runners or walkers that will represent different departments on race day. The race is set to start at 8:30AM.  Runners and supporters from all ages and backgrounds will gear up and take on this 5k race that will lead them around the Trinity Groves neighborhood in West Dallas. The Bravest Race will be kicking off National Fire Safety Week, which begins on Oct 6th.  After the race, the Dallas Fire Department will conclude the event with an expo that will include music, food, and The Fire Engine Pull Challenge. This Fire Engine Pull Challenge consists of gathering a group of people and together pull a fire engine!  Aside from all of this, they will be providing the public with tips and advice on fire safety and how to prevent accidents.

This is the first year that this event will include a 5K race to raise awareness for fire safety and prevention. This event is kid-friendly, even the kids can sign up and run/walk the race! Whether you are a hardcore runner or just a casual supporter of the cause, this is a great time to come together and support the force that protects us day-to-day from fires and accidents.
