Artes de la Rosa Presents Día de los Niños Annual Celebration

Artes de la Rosa presents its annual celebration of Dia de los Niños (Day of the Children) a rapidly growing cross culture event that is now celebrated around the world. Dia de los Niños gives us the opportunity to show the wonderful diversity of our community.


Our annual Día de los Niños Celebration is a free bilingual family festival complete with live performances. This year we will have an appearance by beloved Nickelodeon characters Dora and Diego, from our highly anticipated live stage show of Dora’s Pirate Adventure from Artes de la Rosa’s summer youth program. KIDS ZONE with arts & crafts, mask making, Mexican flag painting. A variety of face painters will be on hand. We will be playing the loteria amongst other fun games, bringing everyone together in a day of learning with interactive activities designed to cerebrally and creatively stimulate while bringing a creative joyful environment for all.


At the Fort Worth Mercado Plaza we will have a food vendor provided by Ballet Folklorico Mexico Lindo. City of Fort Worth’s Movies that Matter. Sweet Tomato’s mascot “Sweetie” will make an appearance with free samples, booth space will be available for some of the best DFW artists/artisans selling their artwork.


This year’s live performances feature an Artes Academy piece including a hip-hop and salsa dance demonstration, a Kids Who Care Musical Theatre performance. Let’s not forget the North Side High School Marching Band and renowned Mariachi Band, who will carry us away with captivating sounds of traditional authentic Mexican folk music.

The fearless performers at Dia de los Niños range in age from 4 years to high school age. Each and every child performer demonstrates the very function and importance of this holiday – it’s sole purpose is to value the joy of a child’s presence in our lives and honor and celebrate their wonderful accomplishments.
