Come out Sunday September 15th for the 2013 Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade & Festival in Lee Park celebrating 30 years of Gay Pride in Dallas. This year’s theme has been named, DEEP IN THE HEART OF PRIDE.
The Parade will begin at 2:00pm sharp on Wycliff Avenue. The route of the Parade will travel down Cedar Springs Road and will end at Lee Park in Turtle Creek where, “Festival in the Park” will take place.
This years Parade lineup will feature over 85 organizations, groups and local businesses in Dallas. Be prepared to experience a wide variety of fun, multi color floats, bead throwing, fabulous drag-queens, glitter and much more!
Festival in the Park will host a fun filled event from 12:00pm-8:00pm offering live entertainment on the main stage. Over 65 booths and vendors will be at the park including delicious food and ice cold beverages. In conjunction with the Festival their will also be a Family friendly outdoor space named, “Family Pride Zone” from 11am-6pm for families. Admission into the Festival is $5 and children under 13 are free.
It has been said amongst the LGBT community that this year will be one of the most celebrated over the past 30 years due to the Supreme Court Rulings in favor of Marriage Equality.
