KIDFILM Festival Free for the Community

On January 24th and 25th, 2015, the USA Film Festival will present the 31st Annual KIDFILM, the oldest and largest children’s film festival in the United States. This year all programs will be presented FREE to the community! KidFilmFestival

Film and video are the most accessible art forms and some of our most valuable teaching/learning tools. KidFilm gives audiences of all ages an important opportunity to see and discuss great films together! Kids can watch and discuss films from around the world, including The Boxcar Children, Maya the Bee Movie, The Boy and the World, Antboy and The Legend of Longwood. Children’s book authors Alison McGhee and Kathi Appelt will be on hand for a tribute to their work on Jan. 24 at 12:30 p.m. (both authors will sign books, and there’ll be a free copy of McGhee’s So Many Days and Appelt’s When Otis Courted Mama for each child, while supplies last).

The fest runs Jan. 24-25. Events are in the afternoon and early evening, see the complete schedule here, USA Film Festival. Tickets for all shows are available day of show only, beginning at 11:30 a.m. each day at the Angelika Film Center, 5321 E. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas.
