Free Spring Break Activities at Fair Park

Families staying in town for spring break can participate in a variety of free activities at Fair Park beginning Monday, March 9 and through Friday, March 13.

Daily activities will feature lawn games, outdoor exercises, a scavenger hunt, children’s fitness workouts, adult Zumba and arts and crafts. Classic cartoons will be shown in the Women’s Building each afternoon from 3 to 4 p.m. Fair Park’s swan boat rides at the Leonhardt Lagoon will be open.

In addition, the Trust for Public Land will offer a Pop-Up Fitness Zone. Kids and parents will be able to test their strength on specialized fitness equipment. Prizes for the best competitors will be awarded.

Some of Dallas’s classic food trucks will also be available each day. Mad Grill, Ruthie’s, The Butcher’s Son, and others will provide an assorted menu of extraordinary items to choose from.

Sponsors for the week of events include the Dallas Center for Architecture, Mayor’s Youth Fitness Initiative, Dallas Historical Society, and the Trust for Public Land.

A complete schedule of daily activities is listed at www.fairpark.org and at Facebook.com/fairparkdallas.
