Northwood University’s Adult Degree Program adds Healthcare Management
Northwood University’s Texas Campus is happy to announce that students may now earn a concentration in Healthcare Management as part of the Adult Degree Program. The new concentration will assist working adults who wish to enhance their learning in the healthcare industry.
Interested students may have a background in the industry or an interest in pursuing a career in healthcare. The general education and management major courses may be completed on campus or online, which will allow students the flexibility to select the course delivery method based on their individual scheduling needs. The 18 specialty hours required for the concentration in healthcare management will be taught online.
Healthcare topics covered in the program include budgeting & financial management, human resource management for the healthcare industry, health care quality management, and marketing for the health care industry.
“With the maturing baby boomers and an increased interest in medical fields, the concentration in healthcare management will provide specialized learning for nurses and administrators wishing to expand their career into management,” said Sarah Lack, Associate Director of Transfer Admissions.
Northwood University’s ADP program offers a bachelor of business administration education in various formats that accommodate the adult lifestyle. Learning formats include evening, weekend, and online courses at over 20 program centers throughout the United States.
Students may be evaluated on transfer credits or a Prior Learning Assessment (PLA). The PLA allows incoming students to utilize current and prior work experience to accelerate their degree path by earning college credit.
