Fine Art Gallery at El Centro College presents: Young American Talent

The H. Paxton Moore Fine Art Gallery at El Centro College presents: “Young American Talent,” from February 29 – March 23. A reception and award ceremony will be held Wednesday, March 23 from 6-8 p.m.

The H. Paxton Moore Fine Art Gallery at El Centro College announces a juried exhibition of talented high school visual arts students from the North Texas area. The exhibition is sponsored in collaboration with the Visual Arts Guild of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.

Each spring, this juried competition showcases artworks from area high school art students. Organized jointly by the Visual Arts Guild at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and El Centro College, this year’s show will feature 110 artworks chosen from 749 entries. Works in the categories of Painting/Watercolor, Drawing, Mixed Media, Digital Imaging, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Ceramics, and Jewelry will be featured.

This year’s jurors are Carol Zou, Project Manager for Trans.lation Vickery Meadow, Arthur Peña, Dallas based artist and promoter, and Dallas scene photographer Scott McDaniel. They will choose award winners in each category, along with the overall Best of Show selection.

PLEASE NOTE: The gallery and campus at El Centro will be closed for spring break the week of March 14-18.
